Wednesday, June 10, 2015 - Dublin Tasting (Stanleys Restaurant Saint Andrew St): (Tasted Blind): engaging nose with aromas of baked apple and raisin, enhanced by the floral, lifted nose and an undertone of vanilla. The palate is bathed in a rich and creamy texture carrying tight racy apple malic acidity and there is a hint of alcohol lightly following through. Slightly lacks some the mid-palate depth, it is bright refreshing and on point carrying an air of simplicity. Falls away subtly on the back palate. Despite this, this medium-bodied wine is clean and focussed with flavours baked apple, pear, Canteloup melon and a touch of mineral.
