Thursday, April 28, 2016 - A young wine with plenty of tannins, but relatively smooth nonetheless. The excessive Oak treatment and not fully integrated alcohol took it down a couple points for me, but there is a lot of very good things about this wine. A little spice, black fruits, including some plum with red fruits backing it up. Some leather and dried herbs as well. This wine could improve significantly if either or both of the Oak and alcohol resolve themselves over the next 3+ years, with a potential 10 year drinking window ahead.
