Tuesday, September 8, 2015 - This is remarkably ready to go, given its youth. It's definitely on the lean side for a California Zin. It's got bright, ripe raspberry and Bing cherry fruit up front, but the graphite and spice mid is the primary here. A little bit of smoke and game, rounds the flavor profile, and it seemed almost more of Grenache profile, to me. Strong, but not intrusive, tannic backbone, and a big pop of acid. This could definitely develop, but I don't think it necessarily "needs" more time.
