Saturday, June 11, 2016 - Last Bedrock Evangelho I had was the '11, and this one was a complete departure in style. This wine had none of the wonderful crunchy red berries and lively acidity of the '11. Instead, the '13 had low acidity with dark red fruits that were flat, muddled and a bit roasted. Two very different vintages of course but still underwhelmed by this wine based on its own merits.

6/12/2016 8:16:00 AM - For what it is worth, the 2011 was actually picked quite a bit riper than the 2013, the pH lower and the acid is higher. Also, this sounds nothing like the 2013 that I know and love- actually sounds a bit like a cooked bottle. 6/13/2016 9:50:00 AM - Thanks @BedrockMorgan for your comments on the wine and offer. Given others’ comments on perception of low acidity, I’m inclined to think this one just isn’t my cup of tea. I look forward to opening another Bedrock soon though as I normally enjoy your wines very much. Cheers.
