Monday, November 9, 2020 - I gave this wine an 88 back in 2018 but this bottle was far better (both were purchased from same source!). Despite being made in a Burgundian style, this producer doesn't always age well but this bottle was very impressive. Medium/dark golden yellow in the glass, very clear and bright. Really pleasant nose of brioche, almonds, some charred embers and even some pine needle to give it a flourish of complexity. Medium to low acidity, just about where it should be right now, finish was perhaps a bit more floral. Full bodied but nuanced - with no one element dominating the wine, always a good sign. It held up very well in the relatively brief 45 minutes we drank it, so glad I tried this again despite my lackluster 2018 experience.
