Tuesday, November 24, 2015 - I am not a big fan of southern Rhone wines but this is a great QPR and a pleasant surprise even at 14.5% ABV. This Syrah-dominant blend from the Cave des Vignerons d’Estézargues cooperative was made especially for its importer,Eric Solomon, from the old-vine Andézon vineyard helped by the addition of 10% Grenache, which provides additional flesh. Andezon has earthy aromas of dark berries, spice and smoky meat tones with good focus and acidity.
