Monday, September 7, 2009 - Nose: Strong core of honey, hints of maple syrup, a little oak and heat, and a touch of roasted peanuts and rubber even. Palate: Caramel and honey on the attack, followed by a touch of heat (not off-putting) on the mid-palate alongside some oak, which gives way to a wonderfully sweet, corn-syrupy, slightly butterscotch-ish and toasty finish... lasting a good minute.
