More sherry oxidation when you taste it, vanilla and nuts, but the overwhelming impression for me is the alarming bite of harsh spirit. The thing is, for only a few pounds more you could have a fantastic single quinta vintage port that's simply streets ahead in terms of quality; and in my opinion you'd definitely get more for your money. Not sure I'm even going to manage to finish this bottle - that doesn't often happen.
