Sunday, May 8, 2016 - One of my father-in-law's "pilgrimage wines" on the Camino de Santiago (he managed to get lost in this vineyard!) Not surprisingly for its Mencia grape, it tastes like a dead ringer for a well-made Loire Cabernet Franc, but smoother and less acidic. Green herbs, eucalyptus and raspberries on the nose. Medium bodied and a smooth, round finish with nice minerality.
