Monday, December 4, 2023 - 3 members of the Commanderie de Bordeaux's Philly Chpt had this wine blind at lunch today. We went through the progressions eliminating differents appellations and finally said it was a very well-aged St. Estephe. Beautiful burnt wood, grafite, crimsin rim, but after an hour lively brambly fruit and a tinge of spice emerged. Never understimate the quality of an aged Ridge Zin. An exceptional wine 45 yrs old.
