Sunday, April 1, 2018 - Gaja really never disappoints. Popped this open and decanted and took a big whiff, definitely not a shy nose. Leather, tar, and spring meadow filled the counter area, this was the kind of bouquet that fascinates everyone at the party, even the ones who don't care that much about wine. There was some tart fruit at first taste but that smoothed out after 30 minutes in the decanter, when the familiar Brunello flavors started to jump out of the glass. Definite buy if you can find this for south of $70.
