Monday, December 5, 2022 - This bottle had some issues with the cork. It was very dry and crumbled, but the wine was not oxidised, so the seal must have been largely in tact. Very much a tertiary wine on the palate. Starting to show dried fruit flavours. And that slightly peaty smell I associate with older wines that are on the turn (might be the resultof the dry cork). Still pleasant, and I have 2 bottle of this vintage left, so hopefully I have more luck with the corks.
