Saturday, October 28, 2023 - Decanted for 2 hours. Not the most detailed TN as I was cooking dinner.

Nose is full of decomposing leaves, blueberries, black olive skins, umami, and a bit of leather. Medium heavy bodied, spot on acidity, and full of flavor. Palate starts off with dark blue fruits, then a bit of decomposing leaves develop with the barrel spices. Still some grippy tannins exist. The finish goes on for a long time with the spices and never lets go.

For me, I feel like this needed to be consumed a few years earlier. Still very tasty and drinking in a great spot.
