90 Points

Tuesday, August 15, 2017 - Nice nose of red fruits and earthy spices. Quite full and intense with a boatload of acidity and delicious flavors of red earth and crunchy leathers. Finishes with dry, thinner tannins and lots of great spice and licorice notes. This will age on it's acidity but it doesn't have nearly the depth or class of the '13 Fontodi Sorbo tasted a few days ago. Still, it's a great Italian version of a Bordeaux blend that should be at its best in just a few more years. 90+
