Sunday, February 4, 2018 - Deep, dark purple-garnet, opaque in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, black currants & blackberries with overtones of dusty/earthy & floral notes, mint, spices, cocoa, minerals & a hint of cedar & vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied, with very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, plush, ripe fruit flavors of sweet dark cherries, blackberries & plums with dark cocoa, spices, herbs, minerals & a hint of vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing should continue to develop further with additional aging. Indicative blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot. A lovely wine!
