Wednesday, January 19, 2011 - The nose here is really nice, big yeast, cake, sweet apples. Getting a lot of aroma out of the wine. The palate shows slightly sweet apples, green citrus, brioche, with a steely edge leading into the finish. While this tastes nice it's a tough wine, the bubbles were course and the amount of acidity on the finish was nearly unpleasant, feeling sharp. Unbalanced at this point, and served beside the NV Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial, even though this has more to say it just comes across to heavy-handed and unbalanced.
