Wednesday, August 16, 2017 - This is a superb wine that despite the price point over delivers against the "bigger brothers". I actually suspect that the ratings aren't as high as they should be because it's a relatively cheap wine. Dark beautiful color. Complex on the nose, ripe dark fruit and orange peel. Spices. On the palate, it's big, with strong tannins that will give the wine good cellar life. Crisp acidity, and cherries flavors. Long finish. 14.5% alcohol. I would dare anyone to taste it blind and not to think it's a brunello. It's there, just half the price. Buy it if you find it.
