What I wasn't expecting was a darker, riper fruit profile than I normally see in Burlotto. There's some floral and menthol undertones, and it manages to straddle more elegant and robust profiles pretty well, in a 'not allowed in an NC bathroom' sort of way. It's a lighter-medium bodied wine overall, but with firm grape tannins showing through on the finish. A nice wine.
