Friday, April 8, 2016 - Bottle opened 24 hours ago. Pitch dark red color. Dense, young and with a slight bricking in the edges. The nose is extremely oaky. Not much else in here. Some hints of fruit under a layer of oak. But the taste on the other hand kicks ass! Powerful, concentrated, fruity and nicely balanced with hints of raisins and prunes. Slight oxidation here? There are also cherries, blackcurrant, leather and marked tannins. Perhaps a bit too much tannins right now. This wine is very young, but that should not be a surprise to anyone.
