Tuesday, January 24, 2023 - Intense leather, tobacco, cedar, and earthy nose at first, followed by bright red fruits several seconds later. Palate is similar. Excellent structure, mild+ acidity and tannins. Just a tiny amount of baking spice and vanilla on the finish. Apple pie?? About an hour in and the fruit really starts to shine, transforming to red fruit. Initial earthy notes are still there but take the background, as a whole it is more bright and round. Last glass 2+ hours in is starting to drop, it's fading but still excellent.
