Saturday, January 29, 2011 - We remain mesmerised by this wine as this is the second time we have tried it (first TN was from a 1985 horizontal which this was WOTN).
Opened 2 hours ahead and double decanted. Doesnt really need so much time to open up but worth to note that the wine did not deteriorate at all in 3 hours post open and 30-45 mins in the decanter helped the mouthfeel.
This is a superb and among the bet 1985 has to offer. Very vibrant and alive and lasted more than 3 hours post open. Open on the nose, seductive mature bordeaux nose. Well round on the palate and with lots of presence and depth. We can go on and on but no need here. This is a must wine and at 80-90£ a bottle is a very good value for the quality you get. We think WS & WA need to try this again... Superb (95 to 96)
