Saturday, April 29, 2017 - Decanted and drunk quickly. This may actually be the best bottle of this wine yet! It is still improving and well stored bottles will improve over the next decade with lots of time left. A very pure sheen I find on the best 85s at the moment - reminded me of a better version of the 64 Gruaud enjoyed earlier and a little of great bottle of 85 Lynch. Lots of cedar, graphite and less funk than usual - instead more blackcurrant and purity than I haven't seen before in this wine. It would have been stellar if we didn't drink it within 30mins. Still a solid 95pts with more upside potential.
