Tuesday, December 24, 2019 - Been in my cellar for more than 30 years, what a joy to find it in good health for a wine of this age. Deep brown colour with a heslthy red core. Aged nose dominated by horse stable, hay and wet earth, but also with dried fruit (prunes). Medium bodied, rounded tannins, and - amazingly - lots of sweet fruit. Spicey aftertaste with hints of cinnamon, curry and cardemom. Old, but not too old. A beaty. I have always likef 1985 over the hard 1986s Bs, snd this proves that wines that are good to drink in tveir youth also may drinl well over 3 decades plus. I feel lucky for tadting a wine like rhis.
