Community Tasting Note

Friday, April 28, 2017 - Wine tasting in Greece; 4/28/2017-5/6/2017 (Athens, Santorini and Porto Heli): From the wine list at the hotel Grande Bretagne Rooftop, Athens. Okay I realize this is not a Greek wine but, it was our first night in Greece and we were not yet ready to blindly experiment on the Greek reds after a long travel day. This is just what the doctor ordered, typical Altesino nose of dark berries and earthy goodness. On the palate this has dusty tannins, dark fruit, earthy loam and some tar notes. Paired great with beef tenderloin. Drinking well now, but more life ahead.
