Saturday, August 16, 2008 - Decanted 30 minutes. Dark ruby color. Fruit on nose. Smooth mouth fee. Blueberry, cherry and coffee on the palate. I find the coffee to be characteristic of merlot in toasted oak barrels, but I do not know the blend here. Tanins there but not fierce. Smooth mouth feel. Medium finish. Bottle says 12.5% ABV but I would have guessed more from the nose but not the palate. This is at the line between very good and excellent.
