The wine was bright light lemon in colour and showed lovely citrus, ripe gooseberry, sweet ginger and pleasant spice on the nose and palate, with medium-level acidity and good length of the ginger-infused finish. Medium-bodied and well-balanced, with a good, smooth texture and well-integrated oak. My wife claimed it must have been vinified from gooseberries and not grapes… We liked it.
