  I liked this wine at the retailer tasting and bought a bottle for a more in-depth assessment with my wife. The wine was bright light lemon in colour and showed lovely citrus, ripe gooseberry, sweet ginger and pleasant spice on the nose and palate, with medium-level acidity and good length of the ginger-infused finish. Medium-bodied and well-balanced, with a good, smooth texture and well-integrated oak. My wife claimed it must have been vinified from gooseberries and not grapes… We liked it.

  Retailer tasting. Citrusy, waxy and spicy, with intriguing sweetness. Medium-bodied, balanced and crisp, with medium-level acidity and good length. So far, my favourite wine of the tasting.
