Tuesday, January 24, 2023 - Day 1: Hallmarks of a good medium bodied red but just too young for me. Acid is poking above everything else, more so than the tannin. Definitely a food wine. Under screwcap this needs another 5 years to soften and mellow out to a nice tertiary phase. Screwcaps are a 2 edged sword, aren't they? No cork taint but slower development. finish is a tad too short and twist of astringency which is less welcome.
Day 2: Stable, no change.
