Saturday, December 16, 2023 - [served blind. my guess was mid-aughts for vintage; as for AOC, i suspected right bank as the Merlot was very present].

deep ruby and garnet rim in the glass. complex and perfumed in the nose: dried rose, cedar shavings, and tobacco waft thru the aromas of macerated cassis and blueberry. juicy, fleshy and round in mouth, the fruit has a supple, silky texture against the very polished tannins. earthy, spice, and dark cocoa notes grow in the mid palate. long, nuanced persistence.

well-developed and likely at peak with another handful of years of enjoyment ahead.
