Monday, February 2, 2004 - Ripe fruit on nose - peaches, candied lemon, lemon zest. Palate more oriented towards ripe stone fruit with lots of energy and minerality. Slightly sweeter than I expected (or would prefer). The first time I tasted this wine (summer 2003) it show a bit of effervescence which has since gone away. Good length and finish shows big fruit and minerality. This will keep getting better for a decade, probably with the sweetness softening, then last for at least another decade.
