89 Points

Sunday, May 7, 2017 - 88-89. Pnp. Predominent oak on the nose at first making me question my purchase but after it settled for an hour or so that faded a bit. Tropical palate with notes of vanilla and yes oak but not as weighty on the mouthfeel. Medium finish. I can see how some people would think it's too California in style. I don't think it's as sappy or overblown as many Cali Chardonnays. For me, I think it still needs a little time to integrate. It's good and at $19 - $20 a good price point. It's not over done and will probably mature into something better....at least I hope.
