Thursday, July 7, 2022 - At Les Climats restaurant in Paris. Pricey but worth every penny. I've never had a 2014 white burg that was less than excellent but this is the best yet -- in fact, one of the best I've ever had from any year. It reminded me of a 1978 Leflaive Chevalier we had at Taillevent almost 40 years ago. This wine had a beautiful nose, wonderful structure, packed with fruit, long long finish. About as good as a white burg gets. A beautiful wine, I wish I could drink this regularly. It will probably continue to improve in bottle, but it is so delicious now, it is very had to be patient. If I won the lottery I'd buy cases and this would be my house white. Rich enough to stand up to and complement beurre blanc, cream sauce, etc.
