Saturday, January 23, 2016 - Wow, what a fantastic wine. Über-classy, and classic northern European red. The flavor profile is like a southern Rhône red, but there is no heft or high alcohol (at 12% abv), and it looks more like a Pinot Noir. The fruit is quite taut and tart, and there is significant tannin. It is a real food wine, and paired admirably with two totally different meals. Really superb and stunning for under $30. I believe red Burgundy lovers would enjoy this.
