93 Points

Thursday, July 9, 2020 - Kevin's btl with a few buddies outside under our maple tree with sushi. Said to have seen 70% new oak and aged on its lees. Light gold color. At first I was frankly not impressed as the oak spice was poking through and this started out very weighty and CA Chard like. about 30 minutes later this wine took on significantly better overall balance & depth. It seems to drop weight and pick up energy, elegance and finesse. 89pt start 93pt finish. Quite good and a pleasant surprise as I'm all about the ME reds and have had mixed results with the whites. 92-93
