Thursday, October 22, 2009 - Almost-overwhelming nose of Sauternes funk (in the best way!), a bit of oak/vanilla, honeyed apricot, and a bit of SO2. Hugely powerful flavors of peach and apricot with orange blossom honey. Citrus comes on the finish to clear the palate. The oak and funk are still present from the nose -- but again, in the best way, slightly spicy and refreshing.

For the money, there's probably not a better Sauternes out there -- for under $40, this is an amazing buy.
