Wednesday, June 12, 2013 - First, I don't think there is a better half bottle of Sauternes out there for $25 than this '05 Doisy-Vedrines. I get a lot of pineapple and melon on the nose with a very faint and pleasant hint of banana. On the tongue, honey and pineapple. The acidity and sweetness are so balanced in this wine, and the finish goes on forever. I bought as much of this as I could find.
