Saturday, February 4, 2017 - Popped and poured. Dark crimson color. Nose of ripe, dark red fruits, sweet baking spices, a touch of pepper and some American oak notes. Raspberry and juicy black plum flavors on the palate with some toasty oak notes. Medium+ acid and tannins gives the wine a nice backbone. A bit primary now in terms of flavor but quite enjoyable due to the freshness from the acidity.
