Thursday, February 25, 2010 - Blind Pinots, cheeses, and charcuterie (my place): nose: beautiful and captivating nose of herbs, dark red cherries, spice tones, hi-toned red florals and bits of fresh picked strawberries. Has a real lovely and feminine style to it
taste: very good medium feel with noticeable medium/high acidity and tannins along with balanced tones of strawberries, hi-toned red florals, herbs, and bits of dark red cherries
overall: I was very happy with this when it was revealed. I had been given this as a gift and it was great. This seemed to have a bit of a nebbiolo type characteristic to it in how it was perfumed. This had recieved a 2 hour or so decant and was still showing young. This could certainly use another 2 or 3 years to fully balance out. A stunning wine for the appellation
