Friday, March 29, 2019 - I was perhaps a tad harsh on this wine several years ago. It's still sweet now, sweeter than I would prefer, and a heavy, new-world expression of Pinot to be sure. But the acidity is good, and there's a powerful anchor of Pinot character (earth/forest) toward the back that grows stronger and richer as the finish rolls on. The resounding dark note and black cherry that linger are quite pleasing.
