I was perhaps a tad harsh on this wine several years ago. It's still sweet now, sweeter than I would prefer, and a heavy, new-world expression of Pinot to be sure. But the acidity is good, and there's a powerful anchor of Pinot character (earth/forest) toward the back that grows stronger and richer as the finish rolls on. The resounding dark note and black cherry that linger are quite pleasing.

From Naked Wines, this solid Pinot Noir is a great value. Dark, red color, but nice transparency when held up to the light. Aromas of black cherries, spice, and smoke. Black cherries, blackberries, and mild spice on the palate. Well balanced, best tasted when served cool. Overall, very good.

This wine just gets better with time. But then that is what wine is supposed to do.
Blackberry and cherry flavors. Goes with Pork and stuffing or steak and fried potatoes. Turns either meal 5 star. No dark chocolate though. Still looking for the wine that stands up to dark chocolate.

fruity nose. smooth on the tongue. Is that currant I taste? Nice Tannins. A few more months before I open the next bottle will be nice to see the difference.

There's a savory quality on the nose but there's also quite a bit of alcohol. On the palate there is a large dose of sugary sweetness right at the front. I don't know if time will help soften that but I hope it does as it is off-putting. There is some nice Pinot character here, with lots of cherry, sweet spice, and evergreen at the core, but right now the sweetness and the alcohol heat are acting as a barrier.
