Tuesday, January 2, 2024 - I believe this is the first wine I purchased knowing it won't be consumed for quite a while. How it was worth the wait. Dark color; nose of mixed berries, black currant, saddle leather; similar flavors along with some pencil lead. Med+ body with great balance of acid and tannins and a very long gripping finish. I don't think this is going to improve but if I had another bottle, I would be in no rush to open it.

I preferred this over a 2000 Ch. Leoville Poyferre.
