Thursday, December 30, 2021 - Between 1/2 hour and 1 hour of air in glass. This vintage of Guigal CDR has long been a favorite. The earth and meat aromas are here - but are more reticent. This strikes me as more concentrated than either the 2015 or 2016. Power packed. This excellent CDR has many years left! But.... this was my last bottle. If you only have a bottle or two of this - hold. If you have more, give it some air, and enjoy. ADDENDUM:(a) A glass left out overnight was still drinking well in the morning, confirming my sense that this was an exemplary vintage of this wine. (b) The following evening, the wine left in the bottle was delicious. (88-91).
