Monday, March 13, 2017 - Grabbed this by accident, but figured ‘why not?’. This is gorgeous with a nose of straw, golden rod, dusty chalk, and yellow citrusy fruits in the distance with a complimentary seaspray profile. Those brighter tones are tempered down by some residual darker tones. Good upfront acids on entry that dissipate as the (medium) weight of the body creeps in from the middle. Palate shows the golden flavors from the nose as well as white fruit flavors that seemed to develop with each sip. Excellent, taught, stoniness underneath the fruit flavors that is well-balanced by the weight of the body. This is a serious Chablis.
