Saturday, July 2, 2022 - An Epic Summer Wine Weekend; 7/1/2022-7/3/2022 (Muskoka, Ontario, Canada): This pours light gold in the glass. The nose is expressive, of honey, spring flowers, lanolin, lemon, green apple, and beeswax. The palate is tartly acidic with the lemon in the foreground. The finish is dominated by bees wax, honey and lanolin. I tasted this wine blind and found it to really have a Loire Chenin Blanc characteristic, and was fairly certain that's what it was. It is aging quite nicely if lacking some Chablis typicity to my palate. I would really like to see more seashell and oyster character.
