Sunday, November 9, 2008 - We shocked the restaurant staff when we asked them to open it with our first course... but told them we'd brought it on purpose for the foie gras. (I was in a Sauternes kinda mood and the restaurant doesn't publish its wine list online.) If you thought foie gras on a biscuit with maple syrup gravy was overkill... we went several steps further pairing this wine with it. Sweet syrupy goodness galore!
