90 Points

Saturday, October 22, 2016 - I really enjoyed the 2012 (94pts) and based on CT reviews hoped the 2013 was even better - but it isn't. The 2013 has more of a herbacious (hibiscus) vibe, compared to the 2012 which I found more modern and fruit forwardly and sensual in the palate.

10/23/2016 5:57:00 AM - Did you decant for extended time? As a Tig fan, I've found that opening these bottles this young, within a year of release, can take on strange personalities. Even 1 extra year can make a big difference, and I've stopped drinking these until they're at least 5 years old, where they become a beautiful and predictable young wine. At the same time, I hold a few back and wait to see what 10 years or more brings. From what I've read, 20 years is a magic number for Tigs; I just don't think I have the will power, lol! Cheers!
