Friday, February 26, 2021 - Drank this wine alongside a 2006 Andrew Will Sorella and the Sorella was more of a favorite, but only because of the age-induced softness. The Tignanello is very early for drinking but still excellent. Bright acidity carries flavors of tart cherry and black cherry. A little deeper there is some black/blue fruit I had a hard time identifying. There are flavors of tobacco and black tea. The finish is long, persistent and altogether lovely. The winewill bring pleasure for 15 years easily and that’s probably the best thing as it will continue to deepen and evolve. I believe it will become something special.
