Saturday, October 2, 2021 - A classic wine with a massive reputation. This is dark cherry, licorice, smoke, spice, and a little tobacco on a very concentrated nose. Tannins are gentle, acid med +, with that concentration maintained on entry, mid palate and finish. Just a quality wine. Too many of the super tuscans that followed after tignanello opened the door are so extracted and forced. This just stays in its lane with confidence and the right amount of restraint.
