Monday, August 30, 2004 - With spaghetti and meat sauce. This wine (only 289 case produced) from my friend John Benish's vineyard and winery is unique. Located on the Napa River north of St. Helena the vineyard is full of obsidian "black glass" left from the time when Wappo Indians made arrowheads by river. A very full flavored zin with out any alcoholic harshness. This wine should improve with time. Winemaker Chris Darden has a magical touch and the imported Italian glass bottles make this wine a tasters delight.
