Thursday, March 19, 2009 - Nose has cassis, mint, black cherry, and some dark berries. a little subdued. In the mouth the wine tastes much darker with black fruit, licorice and tar. mint on the middle and finish is bitter with tannins. I little tough to enjoy, but with a few more years I think this will come around nicely to show the fruit a bit better and the alcohol calms down a bit. mint again on the finish--very interesting. I feel a bit like a chump for opening this now...glad I have a couple more. try again in a year or 3.
